MICRO DWARF PURPLE BOY. A low-growing ornamental variety with upright plants that hold their clusters pointing upward rather than hanging down. The plant height in open ground is about 40 cm. The bush is compact, neat, and very decorative, especially during the period of mass fruiting. The fruits weigh 20-30 g, are bright dark red with a rich anthocyanin hue. These small, dense, glossy tomatoes look striking on the plant and have good commercial qualities. The flesh is juicy and aromatic. The taste is excellent — rich, sweet with a slight astringency and a pronounced aroma.
The variety is valued for the ornamentality of the plants, the original color of the fruit, and the high taste qualities. It is worth noting that there is also another variety with a similar name, Purple Boy — a tall hybrid with large, dark purple fruits similar to Cherokee Purple. It is characterized by vigorous indeterminate plants and high disease resistance. However, the variant described above refers to the compact, ornamental form with small fruits.
