MICRO DWARF TARTUFO. An ultra-compact micro-dwarf tomato variety of unknown origin, valued for its rare “blue” (anthocyanin-rich) coloration, unusual for this type. The plant forms a neat, upright bush only 25-35 cm tall and about 15-20 cm wide, making it ideal for growing in pots, containers, and on windowsills. During ripening, the fruit changes color from green with anthocyanin-rich shoulders to deep dark red or red-purple. The foliage is rugose, regular, potato-leaf type, typical of dwarf tomatoes, giving the plant a decorative and well-kept appearance.
Despite its miniature size, the plant has an indeterminate growth habit and shows high productivity for its class. This is an early variety — the first ripe fruits can be harvested 55-60 days after emergence. The fruits are round, large for a micro-dwarf, cherry-type, with an average weight of 20-40 g. A significant portion of the fruit surface is covered with dark purple, almost black anthocyanin pigmentation. Often only a small area of the fruit remains red, making the tomatoes especially striking and exotic.
The skin is smooth with a bright glossy finish. The flesh is firm, juicy, and holds its shape well. The flavor is rich and sweet, with a light refreshing acidity and a subtle astringent note typical of anthocyanin varieties. The aroma is pronounced and deep, making the fruits attractive both for fresh consumption and for culinary decoration. Micro Dwarf Tartufo is an excellent choice for collectors of rare varieties and enthusiasts of anthocyanin tomatoes.
