MIDNIGHT DREAMS. This sweet pepper variety stands out for its unusual ornamental appearance and excellent flavor. At the technical ripeness stage, its fruits have a deep ink-purple, almost black shade with a glossy shine. As they mature, the color gradually changes, and at biological ripeness, they become rich purple and dark red. The fruits are large, about 10 × 8 cm in size, with walls up to 7 mm thick, very fleshy, juicy, and crunchy. Weight ranges from 150 to 400 grams.
The ultra-sweet fruity flavor is best revealed when fully ripe. Fruit shape varies from conical to blocky, and each compact plant, up to 70 cm tall, produces 8-10 beautiful peppers. The plant is strong, with dense foliage that protects the harvest from sunscald and sturdy stems capable of carrying heavy yields. The variety is highly productive, resistant to fruit cracking, and has excellent keeping quality, making it suitable both for home growing and for commercial purposes.
