MILKA'S RED BULGARIAN. Tall-growing (up to 1.8 meters in open ground), mid-season, large-fruited tomato variety suitable for both open ground and greenhouses. The plants form a strong, well-foliaged bush that requires staking and shaping. Fruits are very bright, glossy, rich dark red, flat-round in shape with slight ribbing near the stem. The average fruit weight ranges from 350 to 600 grams, with some specimens growing even larger.
Flesh is meaty, dense, uniform in size, with minimal seeds. The taste is rich, sweet with a slight tang, full-bodied and tomatoey — rated 5+ out of 5. The variety has excellent commercial appearance and long shelf life — fruits keep well without losing their taste or appearance. Versatile in use: excellent fresh, in salads and slices, but also suitable for processing — sauces, juices, and paste. The variety is valued for its crack resistance and stable yields.
