MINI PARVULA. An unusual small-fruited tomato variety resembling wild cherry tomatoes. The plant grows vigorously and produces long shoots that may droop slightly under the weight of its numerous fruits. Thanks to its decorative appearance and compact tomatoes, this variety is ideal for growing in garden beds, pots, containers, and hanging baskets. The first fruits ripen in approximately 65 days, depending on growing conditions.
The tomatoes are very small, bright red, round-oval or teardrop-shaped, about the size of a currant or a tiny cherry tomato. Despite their miniature size, they have a rich, sweet flavor and a pleasant aroma. Their taste is enhanced by subtle spicy or tart notes that give the fruits a distinctive character. When fruiting abundantly, the bushes become covered with numerous little red tomatoes. Another advantage is the fruits’ good resistance to cracking.
Thanks to their indeterminate growth habit, the plants continue growing and producing new fruit clusters throughout the season. To maintain a good balance between foliage and yield, it is recommended to retain one to three side shoots along the main stem while removing excess shoots in a timely manner. When grown in hanging baskets, the long branches cascade beautifully, adding decorative appeal. This growing method combines harvesting fresh tomatoes with decorating a balcony, terrace, or garden corner.
This variety is an excellent choice for lovers of rare tomatoes with exceptionally small and tasty fruits. It is suitable for fresh eating, garnishing dishes, and growing in limited spaces. Its abundant fruit production makes it particularly appealing to gardeners who enjoy picking tiny tomatoes straight from the plant. With sufficient sunlight, regular watering, and adequate nutrition, the plant can continue producing fruit for an extended period.
