MOCHA SPLASH, USA. An impressive mid-season variety with very decorative plants and unusual fruit coloration. In our conditions, the bushes grew relatively compact — about 0.8-1.0 m in height (according to descriptions, they can be slightly taller). Plants with large potato-type leaves look particularly elegant and vigorous in the garden bed. The fruits are truly visually stunning: a rich chocolate-purple background of the skin is adorned with bright contrasting stripes. The coloration makes the variety noticeable and distinguishes it among other dark tomatoes — in the sun, the fruits look especially spectacular.
Fruit weight is 120-220 g, shape is round or slightly flattened. The flesh is juicy, meaty, with a rich flavor. Sweetness and tang are in a harmonious balance, the taste is deep, rich, with a pleasant aftertaste. On the tasting scale — a confident 5+. This is one of those varieties where decorative appeal fully combines with excellent taste qualities. The yield in our conditions was average but stable. The variety will be excellent for fresh consumption, salads, and beautiful slicing, and thanks to its unusual coloration, it will become a true gem in a collection of rare tomatoes.
