MONGOLIAN DWARF. One of the varieties that participated in an experiment during previous seasons. Trusting the descriptions, I selected only 50 varieties, which I sowed directly into the ground without using seedlings, and quite late — on May 1. The main feature of the varieties involved in the experiment was that they had to be low-growing and determinate: plant it and forget about it!
The Mongolian Dwarf has a sprawling and heavily branching bush but lacks a strong central stem. It is unique in that, unlike others, it thrives in tall grass, crawls along the ground by itself, and feels great! It doesn't get sunburned, doesn't require watering, and lives its own life!
This variety is quite productive throughout the entire season up until the frosts. The fruits are bright red, round and slightly flattened, without green spots. Taste-wise — they are meaty, juicy, and have a rich tomato flavor and aroma. It delivered an excellent harvest. And not a single crack appeared!
FIELD TOMATOES:
Such tomatoes are becoming increasingly popular. They grow on their own without much care. These varieties are resistant to heat, lack of water, weeding, staking, and more. You can plant them at your country house and come once a week just to harvest. After all, not everyone can care for tomatoes daily. They are usually low-growing or determinate types up to 1 meter tall.
The hardiest ones, which, despite tough weather conditions and no maintenance, still delivered good yields, great taste, and kept their appearance without cracking. These are the kinds that were once planted in open fields. A great solution for amateur gardeners. We offer more than 50 types of such tomatoes. Choose the best options for your conditions!
