MORADO (MORADO). This variety holds a special place in our collection — we have been growing it for over 12 years, and during that time it has repeatedly proven its reliability and exceptional qualities. Mid-season, medium-height (in open ground the plants reach about 1.2 meters), it stands out for its incredible productivity — a true “wall of fruit” covering the plant from start to finish of the season. The fruits are large, striking, flat-round in shape, weighing from 250 to 500 grams. The color is deep dark pink-purple with characteristic green shoulders, especially attractive at full ripeness.
The flesh is very meaty and juicy, with a pronounced, rich flavor. This variety offers a perfectly balanced combination of sweetness and slight acidity, making it ideal for salads and fresh consumption. In the 2021 season, the variety didn’t show its best qualities, which we associate with using seed material that was too old for renewal. However, in subsequent years it fully regained its strength and quality. This variety is suitable both for experienced collectors and for those seeking a stable, delicious, and high-yielding tomato with a vibrant appearance.
