OGONYOK. An early-ripening, tall, and highly productive tomato variety that impresses with its beautiful fruits and excellent flavor. The plants grow to 130–150 cm tall and have dense foliage that provides good protection for the fruits from intense sunlight. This variety produces abundant yields and is well suited to home gardens.
The fruits are oval-plum-shaped, weighing approximately 15–25 g. They have a bright red color decorated with beautiful golden stripes, giving them a particularly attractive appearance. The tomatoes are firm, dense, and resilient, resist cracking, and store well after harvesting. Their flavor is exceptionally sweet, making them especially appealing to those who enjoy small, dessert-like tomatoes.
Thanks to its early maturity, the variety provides a harvest at the beginning of the season. The plants also show increased resistance to late blight, an important advantage when growing tomatoes. To keep the plants healthy and achieve a good harvest, proper growing practices are recommended, along with preventive treatments when necessary.
The fruits are excellent for fresh consumption, salads, and vegetable platters. Their firm flesh and small size make them ideal for whole-fruit canning, drying, and preparing tomato paste, sauces, and other homemade preserves. This variety is an excellent choice for gardeners who appreciate early, productive tomatoes with vibrant coloring and a sweet flavor.
