ORANGE-RED BLUES. An impressive author's variety obtained by crossing Great White Blues and Dirty Curty. It combines expressive anthocyanin coloration and a rich, harmonious taste, immediately attracting the attention of both collectors and lovers of unusual tomatoes. The leaf is medium-sized. Clusters form 4-5 large fruits. The bush requires mandatory staking and side-shooting (suckering). The variety adapts well both in a greenhouse and in open ground, with anthocyanin coloration appearing significantly brighter and more saturated in sunny areas.
The plants are indeterminate, vigorous, up to 1.8 m tall, with good growth energy. The fruits are large, weighing 250-400 g, flat-round in shape with pronounced ribbing at the base. During ripening, the color changes from dirty yellow to light brick-red, and characteristic blue anthocyanin "flushes" form on the shoulders, especially intense in the sun. This combination of shades makes the variety very decorative and noticeable in the overall planting mass. The flesh is pink, meaty, dense, but juicy.
The taste is bright, rich, and well-balanced. Sweetness harmoniously combines with moderate acidity, there is a light fruity nuance and a pleasant aftertaste. This is not only a beautiful anthocyanin variety but also a truly tasty tomato. Yield is high, fruits set well and fill out steadily throughout the season. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, salads, slicing, and making juices, and thanks to its unusual coloration, it looks excellent in an assortment of rare and collectible tomatoes.
