PALE PERFECT PURPLE. A variety with potato leaf type — vigorous, healthy plants with characteristic broad foliage, giving the bushes special decorative appeal and growth strength. Bred by Ted Smith (USA). Obtained as a result of crossing Ozark Pink × Purple Price. Interestingly, from this same hybrid combination, another well-known form appeared — Purple Perfect. The variety is included in the list of 100 best heirloom tomatoes mentioned in Carolyn Male's book "100 Heirloom Tomatoes for the American Garden". The fruits are large, impressive, of a noble "old rose" shade, weighing 200-350 g.
The shape is slightly flattened, with moderate ribbing near the shoulders. The tomatoes look very presentable — a classic heirloom shape with a soft purple-pink iridescence. The flesh is meaty, dense, yet juicy. The taste is balanced, mild and sweet, with light fruity and spicy notes. Without sharp acidity — the variety is suitable for fresh consumption, slicing, salads, and summer tomato platters. Ripens earlier than Purple Perfection, while remaining just as vigorous and productive. The bushes are strong-growing, energetic, consistently forming large fruits. The yield is high and extended.
