GIANT STAR ALESSANDRO (PALMIRO ALESSANDRO GIGANTE). An Italian indeterminate, mid-season and highly productive variety with truly impressive fruits. The plants are vigorous and strong, forming heavy clusters and literally covered with giant tomatoes of an unusual, slightly folded shape. Fruit weight ranges from 270 to 800 g, with individual specimens reaching up to 1.5 kg. The shape is expressive, with characteristic folds and ribbing that give the tomatoes a distinctive decorative appeal.
In open ground, plants reach about 1.8 m in height. The fruits are deep pink, very meaty and dense, yet juicy. The flesh is aromatic, with a rich tomato fragrance and a full, sweet flavor.
