PAMYATI KORNEEVA. An old Russian variety from Tamara Yashchenko's collection. The variety was introduced in the 2007 Seed Savers Yearbook and quickly gained recognition among enthusiasts of large-fruited pink tomatoes. The plant is indeterminate, vigorous, about 1.5 m tall, with dense dark green foliage. The bushes are spreading, strong, actively build up vegetative mass, and bear fruit especially well in the second half of the season. The yield is high and stable, with fruits being mostly large and fairly uniform in size.
The fruits are flat-round, with pronounced ribbing in the upper part, sometimes with rounded or slightly curved "shoulders." The average weight is 250-400 g, with individual specimens reaching 700 g. The color is rich pink, attractive. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy. The taste is exceptional — sweet, harmonious, with a rich tomato aroma. This is a classic large-fruited salad variety with pronounced dessert qualities. This is a combination of impressive size, high yield, and truly outstanding flavor. One of the best pink beefsteaks.
