PASTEL SLEEVES. A tall indeterminate variety about 1.5 m high, created by Tom Wagner. It is distinguished by high yield and a long fruiting period from mid-season until frost. The plant is vigorous, with regular foliage, requiring staking and training. The variety is unstable in fruit shape and color, which is its characteristic feature. The fruits weigh 60-100 g (sometimes up to 150 g), and come in various shapes: pear-shaped, elongated with a hint of a nose, oval, or plum-shaped.
The skin is green, and upon full ripening, it may partially turn red and/or yellow. Even fully ripe fruits can look unusual and may not always appear typically "ripe" in appearance. The flesh is greenish-yellow with reddish streaks, and is juicy. The taste is sweet, very pleasant, harmonious, with a pronounced fruity note. The variety is valued for its originality and is suitable for fresh consumption.
