PELINO 2014. A Danish variety bred by Helle Brøgger Madsen. Her tomatoes are known for their impressive appearance, high yield, and an "Italian" accent in the piennolo style — dense, sweet fruits with excellent keeping quality, resistant to cracking, and perfectly suited for storage and preservation. Pelino 2014 is an early variety of compact type. The bush height is about 70 cm. The plant looks very decorative: more like a flowering bush than a tomato — abundantly covered with flowers, it forms very long clusters on thin stems with relatively sparse foliage.
The fruits weigh 10-25 g, elongated, dense, with a characteristic pointed "tip." Despite their light weight, they visually appear more massive. The skin is strong; the fruits do not spoil but gradually dry out, making the variety especially valuable for storage. The taste is sweetish, mild, practically without acidity. Thanks to their dense structure and low juiciness, they are ideal for drying, dehydrating, and long-term storage. Pelino 2014 is a neat, reliable, and very practical variety with a pronounced Mediterranean character.
