PEPPER-SHAPED STRONGHOLD. An early, reliable, and very productive variety of Siberian breeding, created specifically for open ground and difficult weather conditions. This is one of the hardiest and most unpretentious pepper-shaped tomatoes. The plant is compact, semi-standard or standard, slightly branched. Depending on growing conditions, the height can vary from 30-40 cm to 1 m. In open ground, it more often forms a neat bush about 40 cm tall. It does not require pruning and usually does without staking, although with abundant fruit load, light support may be useful. The ripening period is early — 105-110 days from germination to the beginning of fruiting.
The bush is literally hidden under the harvest: the entire plant is strewn with dense, beautiful fruits. The fruits are pepper-shaped, large for their type — up to 150 g. The color is raspberry-pink, rich and attractive. The flesh is meaty, dense, very sweet, with a pronounced tomato aroma. The fruits are tasty both fresh and canned, suitable for whole-fruit preserves. The variety is characterized by disease resistance, including resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), tolerates adverse weather conditions well, and is adapted to harsh climates. The yield reaches up to 4 kg per 1 sq. m. A true "stronghold" among pepper-shaped varieties that will delight with stable results even in difficult conditions.
