PINEAPPLE HEART. The variety was created by the well-known Ukrainian collector and amateur breeder Oleksii Kulyk. The variety originated in 2016 as a result of natural segregation (genetic mutation) of one of the exotic heirloom varieties in his collection. This is an unusual tomato with chocolate-burgundy, heart-shaped fruits. When cut open, the fruits reveal emerald-yellow flesh with a dark burgundy center and an intensely sweet flavor. A tall, vigorous and very productive tomato variety. The plant is indeterminate, with a strong bush and good growth vigor; it requires staking and training.
The variety is distinguished by stable yield and large fruits. The fruits are large and uniform, weighing 400–800 g, fleshy and juicy. Their shape varies from heart-shaped to round and flattened. The tomatoes look attractive both on the plant and when sliced. The flesh is dense and tender, with a rich texture. The flavor is very sweet and rich, with a pleasant aroma — one of the variety's main strengths. Excellent for fresh consumption, salads and home cooking.
