PINK SHARPEI (SHARPEY ROZOVY). A mid-season variety with fruits of an original shape. The plant produces a stable harvest, suitable for growing in open ground and greenhouses with staking. The fruits are medium to large, pear-shaped, with pronounced ribbing. They are very dense, with small seed chambers. They contain little juice, but are not tough; instead, they are fleshy with a pleasant texture. The flesh is a rich pink color, of a "melon" type — dense and sugary. The taste is sweet, rich, and very pleasant. The variety is valued for its fleshiness, density, and high taste qualities, suitable for fresh consumption and slicing.
