PITANGA RED. A variety originating from Brazil, bred as part of a breeding program to create new promising tomatoes. Distinguished by its expressive fruit shape and high productivity. A tall, mid-season variety. The plants are vigorous, with thick sturdy stems, reaching about 1.5 m in open ground. The bush actively forms clusters and abundantly sets fruit. The tomatoes have an exquisite appearance, bright red, deeply ribbed, dense, with moderate juice content.
They grow in large clusters of 6-8 pieces. During the fruiting period, the plant is literally studded with fruits weighing 150-250 g. The variety is distinguished by good shelf life and heat resistance. When cut open, small cavities may be found, but the flesh remains tasty, juicy, and sweet. Thanks to their dense structure, the fruits are excellent for stuffing and also look impressive in slices and salads. We recommend growing in open ground, a very good variety.
