POLISH TOMATO (POLISCH LINGUISA). This variety has a long history. In the 19th century, during the 1800s, it arrived in the USA with Polish immigrants, and now it returns back as a novelty. A family heirloom. The fruit is firm and meaty. It is said about this variety: "High content of vitamins A and C". The ‘Linguisa’ variety is also a good source of fiber and potassium. The plants are very vigorous and disease-resistant. Very productive variety. Lightly salted.
The bush grows to 1.3 meters, slightly drooping, with above-average yield. Each cluster has 4-5 fruits weighing 150-180 grams. Shape – elongated plum with a blunt tip, sometimes pointed. Fruits are deep red-burgundy, dense, ripen fully without green shoulders, and were not affected at the blossom end. The taste is rich, deep, sweet, and juicy. Very tasty. Recommended as one of the most productive plum types for preserving and canning.
