POLISH BLING. An author's variety created by Craig LeHoullier, a renowned tomato advocate who introduced Cherokee Purple to the world and authored the book Epic Tomatoes. The variety was obtained by crossing Blues Bling (a variegated-leaf version of Cherokee Purple) and the heirloom variety Polish. The plant is indeterminate, tall, reaching about 1.6 m in open ground. The bush is unique due to its potato-type leaf with variegation — the foliage is mottled, decorative, making the plant impressive already at the growth stage. Both the leaves and the fruits look truly stunning.
The fruits weigh 200-400 g, are purple-pink with dark green stripes and shimmers, very expressive and unusual. The color is complex, multi-layered, especially beautiful at full ripeness. The flesh is juicy, meaty. The taste is rich, complex, well-balanced. It is not a "candy" sweetness, but a deep, harmonious tomato profile with an intense and long-lasting aftertaste. The result of the breeding is a truly unique variegated potato-leaf variety, combining the plant's ornamentality with the high taste qualities of the fruit.
