PURPLE BUMBLEBEE. A tall-growing, mid-season, very productive tomato variety of American origin, bred by Fred Hempel (USA). This is the purple version of the famous Bumblebee series, distinguished not only by its striking coloration but also by excellent flavor quality. The variety is well suited for both greenhouse cultivation and open-field growing. The fruits are plum-type, round with a slight oval shape, weighing on average 20-40 grams. The plant is vigorous, well developed, with regular foliage. The variety is valued for its stable yields, ease of cultivation, and high adaptability to different growing conditions.
The skin is dense, rich purple-violet in color with characteristic metallic dark green stripes, giving the fruits a very decorative and attractive appearance. The tomatoes are resistant to cracking, tolerate temperature fluctuations well, and retain their marketable quality for a long time after harvest. The flesh is firm and juicy, with a rich, complex, yet harmoniously sweet flavor. Ideal for fresh consumption, salads, whole-fruit canning, dish decoration, and farm sales thanks to its eye-catching appearance. Fruiting is abundant and prolonged — from mid-season until nearly the first frosts.
