REBEL STARFIGHTER PRIME. Breeder: Russ Crowe (Vermont, USA). Other names: REBEL STARFIGHTER, RISING STARFIGHTER (USA). According to the breeder, this was one of the most outstanding results of crossing Xanadu Picasso x RHK GWR Heart. The variety was first introduced in 2018. Both varieties are named after spacecraft from the Star Wars movie.
Fruiting is prolonged and extended. The first harvest was collected at the end of July — 12–16 fruits per plant, and the final harvest — 25–36 fruits — in mid-October. The fruits are green-blue-pink, exceptionally beautiful, aromatic, meaty, juicy, with an excellent rich, sweet flavor and a hint of the exotic.
ABOUT THE REBEL STARFIGHTER PRIME VARIETY:
A long-awaited novelty sought after by many collectors. Once the fruits appeared and we tasted them, we understood why the variety is so rare. The series is incredibly successful: it combines fantastic beauty, as if created by a refined artist, with a wonderfully bright taste! The sweetness is outstanding — you swallow the fruit without noticing; it simply melts in your mouth — very juicy, sweet, and fragrant!
The plants are medium in strength, 1.5 meters tall, with slightly drooping leaves but strong stems. The clusters are simple, elongated, each with 5–7 fruits weighing 300–400–600 grams. The color of the fruits in this series is bright red-raspberry; the base of the fruit is colored with inky anthocyanin, with green stripes and streaks running across the entire fruit. The flesh inside is deep red, meaty, and dense.
The taste is wonderful — the fruit melts in your mouth, very juicy, sweet, a vivid tomato flavor with light fruity notes, and aromatic! The shape of the fruits is variable — we had three types: flattened heart-shaped, flat, and elegant heart. Some of the most beautiful and delicious tomatoes in our collection! Top marks for sweetness and productivity! Highly recommended for all tomato enthusiasts.
