GARDEN CANDY RED. A mid-season cherry tomato variety that fully lives up to its sweet name. The fruits have an exceptionally high sugar content, with virtually none of the usual tomato acidity. Their bright aroma, juiciness, and rich sweetness make them a true treat. The plant is vigorous and highly productive, and when grown outdoors, it can reach over 2 meters in height. The fruits develop in small, neat clusters of 7–9 tomatoes, with an average weight of approximately 30–40 g each. The tomatoes are round, bright red, firm, and very uniform. Thanks to their attractive appearance, the harvest looks especially appealing.
The fruits are firm and have a relatively thick skin, so they are hardly prone to cracking. They stay firmly attached to the plant and do not fall off even when fully ripe. The flavor is intensely sweet, juicy, and aromatic, without pronounced acidity. This is one of those cherry tomatoes that you will want to eat straight from the vine. The variety is excellent for whole-fruit canning: the firm fruits look beautiful in jars and retain their shape well. Is also perfect for fresh consumption and for decorating dishes.
