I had this variety under the name "Violet Vessela." It’s simply an excellent tomato productive, delicious, beautiful, and disease-resistant. I grew it outdoors and was very impressed: 5 out of 5 on all counts!

Grown outdoors, the plant had good air circulation and wasn’t too leafy. The tomatoes were large, tasty, and dark purple in color. Their flavor was similar to the Purple Russian variety.

A mid-season, indeterminate, and high-yielding variety. The plant has a fairly upright structure, so it’s not recommended to grow it in shaded areas. The fruits are meaty, black-purple elongated plums with a pointed tip, very beautiful in both color and shape, and almost seedless. The taste is excellent, rich and sweet.

The best variety of the year! Everything that’s been said about it before is absolutely true: productive, dependable, consistent, and healthy. It ripens well after picking, stores better than any of the black varieties I grew, and still manages to be sweet. And the cherry on top - it’s so easy to slice for salads. How could you not fall in love with it?

Interestingly, I received the seeds quite late and had originally planned to plant them the following year. But then I thought — why not give it a try? I planted it around May 15–17, and it grew until September 14–15 — exactly four months. The result was three or four full, identical fruit clusters.

The supports didn’t hold up well under strong winds. Despite a rainy season with cold nights, the plant stayed completely healthy — not a single leaf disease. I had just one plant, and for some reason, it skipped setting the first cluster. I picked the first cluster fully ripe; the rest ripened later without any loss. The post-harvested ones weren’t quite as sweet, but still very tasty.

I absolutely loved this variety. Everything good that’s been said about it above, all true! I grew one plant in a temporary greenhouse on the shady side, and it set fruit from bottom to top without a break. It’s not an early variety - it started ripening in August, though it might have been earlier if grown in the sun. But what a beauty! And the taste! For the first time, I thought of a tomato as something that “melts in your mouth.” Though, to be fair, it does have very few seeds.

Mid- to late-season variety. Each cluster sets 3-5 or more fruits. Fruit weight ranges from 80 to 200 (up to 250) grams. Trained to 1-2 stems. The plant is compact and neat, with few side shoots. Fruits are burgundy-purple and vary in shape - from plump double plums to long, icicle-like forms with pointed tips, though most resemble elongated plums. The flesh is burgundy-brown, buttery, fairly dense with thick walls. The skin is thin but firm. Flavor is rich, sweet, with a slight tang.
