ROSAMUNDE. The history of this variety's origin could not be determined. The seeds were received with a note in English stating that it is not a pear-shaped form, as a similar hybrid with a ribbed pear shape exists. The origin and breeding line of this variety are unknown to us. Mid-season, tall variety reaching about 1.7 m in height. The plants are powerful, sturdy, with a simple leaf type, well-leafed and stable. The yield is excellent, consistently high, deserving the highest rating.
The fruits are pink, distinctly ribbed, often with noticeable heart-shaping. The color is a rich, uniform pink, without spots or cracking. The tomatoes are very beautiful, neat, and have a marketable appearance. Fruit weight varies from 130 to 400 g. The flesh is meaty, moderately juicy, with a harmonious balance of sugars and acids. The taste is bright, sweet, with a light, delicate tanginess, very rich and pleasant. One of the best tomatoes of the season in terms of the combination of external appeal and taste qualities.
