SCARLETT STARFIRE. A fairly new tomato variety. Created by Lee Goodwin, J&L Gardens, USA. A tall, mid-season variety reaching up to 1.7 m in height. The plant is vigorous, energetic, with good foliage. Suitable for cultivation both in greenhouses and in open ground, it is distinguished by stable growth and uniform fruit set. Fruits weighing 15-22 g are gathered in beautiful clusters of up to 12 pieces. The yield is very high, clusters form actively and evenly, the bush looks elegant and is literally studded with fruits.
The coloring is unusual: not classically red, but a warm brick shade reminiscent of fired clay, closer to a deep orange-red color. Golden stripes run across the surface, giving the fruits special expressiveness and decorative appeal. The taste is very sweet, rich, almost candy-like, with minimal acidity. The flesh is juicy and pleasant, the skin is dense but tender. The variety is excellent for fresh consumption, salads, and impressive presentation.
