SERAFIMA+SUMO. A powerful, vigorous and highly productive variety with strongly leafy plants reaching up to 1.9 m (6.2 ft) in open ground. Each truss produces 3–4 large fruits weighing around 350–450 g. The tomatoes are heavy and meaty, yet not overly dense, with a perfectly smooth surface and a completely matte skin. The skin is thin, delicate and almost imperceptible when eaten. The fruits are exceptionally attractive, with no cracking, green shoulders or other imperfections. These are truly unusual tomatoes that immediately catch the eye with their impressive size, distinctive shape and extraordinary coloration.
The variety is even more spectacular when cut open: intensely aromatic, juicy orange flesh is beautifully contrasted by a vivid red “tie” running through the centre. It is one of the brightest and most striking flesh colour combinations of the season! The flavour is the true highlight of SERAFIMA+SUMO — incredibly juicy, rich, fruity and wonderfully complex. A pronounced sweetness combines with delicate spiciness and a pleasant acidity that perfectly balances the overall flavour. The flesh is tender and loose, almost “breaking” under the knife, yet never watery.
