SMACHNYI. A mid-early tomato variety that combines compact plants with large, flavorful fruits. The period from emergence to the beginning of fruiting is approximately 106–110 days. The plants grow to a height of 60–80 cm. This variety is well suited to both open-ground cultivation and growing under plastic covers. With proper care, the plants can produce a generous harvest.
The fruits are large, flat-round, and weigh up to 300 g, with an attractive appearance and a pronounced tomato aroma. Their fleshy flesh is juicy and has a pleasant, sweet, almost dessert-like flavor. These tomatoes are especially delicious when eaten fresh, allowing their natural qualities to be fully appreciated. They make an excellent addition to summer salads and fresh vegetable platters.
The variety can be highly productive under favorable growing conditions. With proper care, one plant can yield approximately 3.7–4.5 kg of tomatoes. For the best results, water the plants regularly, maintain fertile soil, and carry out essential gardening tasks on time. Their compact growth makes them easy to care for, even in smaller gardens.
Another advantage is its reported resistance to Fusarium wilt and Cladosporium leaf mold. These traits may help the plants withstand the corresponding diseases, although results depend on growing conditions. This variety is suitable for gardeners who appreciate large tomatoes with fleshy texture and a sweet flavor. The fruits are an excellent choice for fresh, seasonal dishes.
