SNAG'S PRIDE. Developed by Snag Hayes of Gallatin, Tennessee, USA. Tall, mid-season, high-yielding tomato variety with potato leaf type (there is also a version with regular leaves). In open ground it reaches about 1.8 m in height, forming a strong plant that requires staking and pruning. Fruits are very large, weighing between 250 and 650 g, round-flat in shape, bright pink in color, with dense and meaty flesh. They are multi-chambered with a small amount of seeds. The flesh is deep pink, very juicy and fleshy, with a distinctive rich flavor.
The taste is bright: sweetness is balanced by a light refreshing acidity, giving the fruits harmony and depth. In taste tests, the acidity was rated 4.5 points, and yield — the maximum 5. The variety shows stable productivity even under unfavorable conditions. These tomatoes are excellent for fresh consumption — in salads and slices, and also great for making juices, sauces, and thick paste thanks to their meaty texture and rich color. Because of their large size and beautiful appearance, the fruits can also be used for decorative serving. Recommended for open-ground cultivation.
