SOLOMON. An early-ripening variety of sweet pepper for open ground and plastic greenhouses, characterized by stable yield and high marketability. The period from germination to ripening is 95-110 days. The bush is compact, 50-70 cm tall, strong and well-leafed. The plant produces uniform large fruits and bears fruit stably even when grown in open ground. The fruits are cube-shaped, smooth, glossy, with a neat shape. They are light yellow at technical maturity and become deep red at biological maturity. Average weight is 120-200 g, with individual specimens reaching 250 g.
The wall thickness is 5.4-5.9 mm, which provides good fleshiness and juiciness. The taste is excellent, sweet, rich, without bitterness. The fruits are distinguished by increased shelf life and transportability, maintaining their marketable appearance for a long time. They are versatile in use — suitable for fresh consumption, stuffing, baking, and processing. According to vegetable growers, the variety is deservedly popular due to its combination of early ripeness, large fruit size, and excellent taste qualities.
