STRAWBERRY GERMAN YELLOW. This tomato variety is a true family heirloom, cultivated since the beginning of the 20th century (since 1900). It belongs to tall, mid-season varieties with high productivity. In open ground, the plants reach about 1.8 meters in height, forming a strong bush that requires staking and pruning. The fruits have a characteristic heart shape, but without a pronounced pointed tip at the top. Their coloring is very attractive — a rich, bright orange-yellow shade both outside and inside. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, multi-chambered, and contains only a small number of seeds.
The average fruit weight ranges from 150 to 400 grams, with some fruits growing even larger. The flavor is rich and well-balanced: sweet with a slight tang and a pleasant aroma, making these tomatoes especially valuable for fresh consumption. Thanks to their firm texture, the fruits are excellent not only for salads but also for making juices, sauces, and pastes. Another advantage is the good keeping quality of this variety — harvested fruits remain fresh and marketable for a long time, making them convenient both for home use and for sale. Recommended for cultivation in open ground.
