SUCEAVA (SUCAVA). A tall, mid-season variety with vigorous growth energy, reaching about 1.5 meters in height. It forms strong clusters of 3-4 fruits and consistently pleases with excellent yield. The plant is strong, well-leafed, and confidently holds even large and heavy fruits. The fruits are very sweet, multicolored, bright, in saturated shades. The weight varies from 150 to 420 g, while individual specimens can reach over 700 g. An interesting feature of the variety is that the fruits feel heavy not because of their size, but because of their density: they are compact, weighty, with a dense texture and pronounced fleshiness.
The shape is most often round-flattened, often with beautiful ribs, giving the tomatoes an expressive, slightly "old-fashioned" appearance. From the stem, the fruits are densely covered with an inky anthocyanin that can reach almost to the middle of the fruit, creating an effect of a dramatic color transition. In cross-section, small seed chambers are visible; the flesh is dense, rich, without wateriness. The taste is one of the sweetest of the season. Balanced, deep, with a rich tomato sweetness and minimal acidity. Sucava combines decorativeness, high fruit density, excellent yield, and sweet taste.
