SUN QUEEN. Breeder — Valdis Pulins, Latvia. A rare experimental variety obtained by crossing 'Queen of the Night' and 'Orange Russian 117'. A truly sunny variety. This is an author's breeding project in the formative stage, so the variety may exhibit unstable traits — subsequent generations may show changes in fruit color and shape. This is precisely what makes it especially interesting for collectors and enthusiasts of rare tomatoes. In our conditions, only one plant grew from the seeds obtained, so the amount of seed material is extremely limited. This is a truly rare specimen.
The variety is mid-season, bearing fruit for a long time — until the onset of frost. The plant is of medium height, with simple leaves, reaching about 1 meter in height under our conditions. The bush is neat, harmoniously developed. The fruits are yellow, variegated, with pronounced anthocyanin streaks and shimmers. The coloration looks bright and unusual — a warm, sunny base combined with dark shades creates a striking contrast. The tomatoes are fleshy, moderately juicy, with a dense flesh structure. The taste is sweet, well-balanced, soft, and harmonious. This is a dessert-type variety, pleasant to eat fresh.
