WHITE POTATO LEAF. A large-fruited, mid-season variety with a very unusual and attractive coloration. The ripe fruits combine yellow and whitish shades, giving them an elegant appearance. The tomatoes are large, meaty and aromatic, with a pleasant texture and rich flavor. The average fruit weight is approximately 300–500 g, although individual tomatoes can be larger under good growing conditions.
The flavor is mild, with a light fruity sweetness and a slight astringency that gives it a distinctive character. Thanks to their meaty flesh, the fruits are especially suitable for fresh salads, juicy slices and sandwiches. The variety is indeterminate, with a tall plant and broad potato-type leaves. Depending on growing conditions, the plant can reach approximately 1.8–2.2 m in height, so it will require support and staking.
With proper plant training, the variety is well suited for growing in home gardens. In addition to fresh consumption, the tomatoes can be used to prepare a light-colored tomato sauce, various homemade dishes and original culinary preparations. The unusual yellow-and-white coloration, large meaty fruits and interesting fruity-sweet flavor make this variety an attractive choice for lovers of unusual beefsteak tomatoes.
