TURNIP. A tall, mid-season, and exceptionally high-yielding variety. Plants develop powerful, elegant, upright bushes that by mid-July (18.07) reached a height of 162 to 193 cm. The leaves are narrow and neat, while the stems are of medium thickness, sometimes appearing a bit slender, but there are plenty of them, making the bushes moderately dense and well-balanced. By June 20, each plant had already formed 15-17 flower clusters, which is an impressive indicator even for experienced growers.
The variety shows excellent fruit set even in hot weather, making it especially valuable for open-field cultivation. In the 2021 season, the first fruits began to ripen between July 11 and 14, confirming its consistent mid-season maturity. The fruits are very attractive: deep red with smooth, glossy skin, free from spots and cracks. They are heart-shaped, slightly elongated, with a subtle ribbing near the stem. Large specimens can reach a weight of 500 g or more, impressing with their size.
Inside, the tomatoes are red-pink, meaty, multi-chambered, very juicy, and buttery in texture. The flavor is rich, intense, and sweet, with a pleasant and well-balanced acidity. To fully enjoy their taste, it is best to harvest the fruits fully ripe, letting them hang on the plant. Despite their bright red skin, the optimal stage of ripeness must be determined individually. The variety prefers well-lit areas and space, so avoid planting too densely. This will ensure proper bush development and maximum yield.
