URBANITE. Indeterminate, mid-season, and exceptionally productive variety that can impress even experienced tomato growers. The plants develop powerful, vigorously growing bushes with strong, thick stems and abundant regular foliage, which provides excellent protection for the fruit from sunscald and helps maintain steady humidity. The plants look truly impressive and easily carry a heavy fruit set, so sturdy support or trellising is recommended.
The main pride of this variety is its giant fruits of remarkable density—perhaps the firmest among large, meaty tomatoes. Glossy and bright red, they impress with their size: the average weight ranges from 300 to 800 g (10-28 oz), though some reports abroad mention specimens around 650 g (about 23 oz). The fruits are multi-locular, fleshy, with few seeds, making them especially valuable for salads as well as thick sauces, juices, or paste.
Their flavor is rich and well-balanced: sweet, juicy flesh with light fruity notes and a pleasant aroma. Thanks to their dense structure, the tomatoes store excellently and transport well, staying attractive and fresh for a long time. A possible mix-up is noted: according to some foreign descriptions, the fruit should be pink, but all plants grown from our seed produced exclusively bright-red tomatoes.
