VASYA VASILYOK. A fairly well-known and time-tested Russian variety that has gained popularity among gardeners thanks to its unpretentiousness and stable yields. The plant is medium-sized, with bushes usually reaching 90-110 cm in height. Bushes are strong, moderately leafy, not prone to excessive thickening, which ensures good ventilation and reduces the risk of fungal diseases. The variety belongs to the mid-season category, distinguished by high productivity and a long fruiting period. Each cluster sets 5-6 large fruits. The tomatoes are attractive, round-flat in shape, slightly ribbed, very uniform and consistent in size.
Fruit weight ranges from 250 to 500 g, and with proper care, some specimens can grow even larger. They have a rich, well-balanced flavor, combining sweetness with a pleasant mild tang, along with a pronounced tomato aroma. The flesh is meaty, juicy, with few seeds. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is excellent both for fresh use in salads and for processing — making juice, sauces, and paste. Large fruits are also perfect for slicing. The variety is valued for its yield stability, unpretentiousness, and versatile use.
