VOYAGE. A relic variety with an amazing history. It was discovered in Germany but originally brought from Guatemala. This tomato has long become a legend among collectors due to its completely unusual shape. The variety is indeterminate, with regular leaves; in our conditions, it proved to be early-ripening, although it is more often classified as mid-season. Plants reach up to 1.6 m in height and are distinguished by exceptionally high yield. Bushes require mandatory staking — the crop is formed abundantly and actively. The main feature is the structure of the fruit. It consists of many fused chamber-segments.
In appearance, it resembles festive buns or miniature "fused" cherry tomatoes. Fruits weighing 60-120 g (approximately 2-5 ounces) are formed in clusters and look very original. The taste is rich, tomatoey, balanced. It is not distinctly sweet or sour, with a light refreshing tartness and a barely noticeable astringency. Thanks to the dense structure and convenient "detachable" form, the variety is ideal as a snack on the go — hence the name. "Voyage" is a tomato not only for eating but also for making an impression. A unique, unusual, and very productive variety that will certainly not go unnoticed in a collection.
