ZOE'S SWEET DWARF. Smooth, dark pink fruits with a pleasant, juicy, and sweet flavor. Very meaty fruits inherited from one of the "parents," 'Pale Leaf Mullens Mortgage Lifter'. Zoe’s Sweet has lemon-green foliage with a greenish-yellow hue, and due to the greenish-yellow gene, the variety is taller than other dwarfs. First introduced in 2021.
Selected from the "Morty family" by Craig LeHoullier and named after his black Labrador. Indeterminate, 1.7 meters tall in open ground. Mid-season variety. Grows and fruits well outdoors. The plant is sturdy, produces few side shoots, causes no trouble—just make sure to stake it. Each cluster has 3–4 fruits, and yields are good.
ABOUT THE DWARF SERIES
The "Dwarf Tomato Project" is an international initiative aimed at developing compact, short-statured tomato varieties. It was launched in 2005 by Patrina Nuske Small from Australia and Craig LeHoullier from the USA. By 2011, the project had involved over 250 volunteers, resulting in the creation of numerous unique cultivars. Key Features of the Dwarf Tomato Series:
-
Compact size: Plants typically range from 40 to 140 cm in height, making them ideal for container gardening.
-
Fruit diversity: The varieties differ in fruit shape, size, and color — from classic red to striped, black, yellow, and even green tomatoes.
-
Flavor profiles: The fruits offer a wide spectrum of tastes — from sweet and tangy to rich and spicy — catering to various preferences.
-
Resilience: Many of the dwarf varieties are highly resistant to diseases and can thrive under challenging growing conditions.
