ANTO BERRY. This variety belongs to the unusual family series of tomatoes called “BERRY”. These cherry tomatoes are a true family heirloom of a Ukrainian family and have been grown by them for around 50 years. Over the decades, the variety has retained its distinctive characteristics, while the series itself has become part of the family’s history. A mid-season indeterminate variety with a powerful, sturdy and spreading plant. In the open ground, the bush can grow over 2 m tall. The trusses are simple and semi-complex, well filled, usually carrying 8 or more fruits.
The tomatoes are small, weighing around 20–30 g, with numerous trusses forming throughout the plant. The variety sets fruit regularly and abundantly and is distinguished by good productivity and a long fruiting period. The fruits are bright red, while almost the entire upper part is densely covered with a rich anthocyanin coloration. The skin is fairly dense, so the fruits are not prone to cracking. Inside, the flesh retains its vivid color, has thick walls and a pleasantly juicy texture.
The tomatoes are not watery at all and have a rich aroma and a sweet flavor with a pronounced tomato note. ANTO BERRY is an excellent choice for those who enjoy sweet cherry tomatoes with firm flesh, a bright aroma and unusual coloration. This variety successfully combines decorative appearance, high productivity and excellent flavor.
