BENDRIK'S PLUM RED BELL. A new breeding line developed by the renowned Ukrainian breeder Oleksandr Bendrik, created on the basis of the legendary Bendrik's Plum. The variety inherited the finest qualities of its famous predecessor and the De Barao variety: exceptional productivity, outstanding plant health, excellent keeping quality, and flawless marketable fruits. At the same time, this new line offers larger tomatoes, improved flavor, and even higher productivity. A mid-season indeterminate variety with a vigorous plant producing long, powerful trusses loaded with numerous uniform fruits.

The plant develops rapidly, builds abundant foliage, sets fruit reliably even under challenging weather conditions, and continues producing until the end of the season. The hallmark of this variety is its enormous multi-fruited clusters, each carrying 15-25 tomatoes weighing 100-150 g. The fruits are remarkably uniform in size and shape, highly attractive, and equally suitable for home use and commercial production. Their elongated plum shape with characteristic bell-like contours gave this line its distinctive name.

The fruits have a smooth, glossy surface and a rich bright-red color. They are firm, resistant to cracking, transport exceptionally well, and can be stored for a long time without losing either flavor or market quality. Thanks to their strong attachment to the stem, entire clusters can be harvested with ease. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, and contains only a small number of seeds. It retains its shape after slicing and heat processing while remaining tender and pleasantly textured without becoming tough.

FLAVOR

The flavor is rich, harmonious, and remarkably sweet. The juicy flesh combines an intense tomato aroma with a light refreshing acidity, creating perfect balance. The fruits are excellent fresh, release very little juice when sliced, and have a firm yet tender texture. Their structure makes them one of the finest varieties for whole-fruit canning, pickling, salting, drying, and semi-drying. They are also excellent for salads, vegetable platters, and everyday fresh consumption.

After processing, the tomatoes remain firm, attractive, and retain their shape exceptionally well. Bendrik's Plum Red Bell is a modern, high-yielding line of the legendary variety, combining spectacular multi-fruited trusses, large firm fruits, excellent keeping quality, and outstanding flavor. As these new breeding lines are still undergoing final stabilization, individual plants may show slight variations in fruit shape, which is a natural characteristic of newly developed breeding material.
