BLACK EMPEROR. A mid-early, highly productive variety with striking dark fruits and excellent flavor. The plant develops a strong, vigorous bush about 1.5–1.8 m tall and actively produces fruit trusses. Each truss bears 6–8 fruits, and under favorable conditions their number can reach 10.
The fruits have an attractive elongated plum shape and weigh approximately 70–120 g. When fully ripe, they develop a deep dark brown-burgundy color, giving them a particularly elegant and unusual appearance. The tomatoes are uniform, firm, and a convenient size both for fresh consumption and for various homemade preserves.
The flesh is meaty and juicy, with a beautiful burgundy-cherry color. The flavor is pleasant, rich, and pleasantly sweet, with a good balance between sweetness and a characteristic tomato aroma. Thanks to their firm flesh, the fruits maintain an attractive appearance and are excellent for slicing.
The variety is versatile and performs well for several purposes. It is excellent for fresh salads, where its dark fruits look especially striking, and it is also very well suited for pickling and home preserving. High productivity, attractive fruits, and a rich, slightly sweet flavor make it an interesting choice for lovers of dark-fruited tomatoes.
