BLACK SHADOW. A tall, mid-season variety with high productivity and spectacular pink-black fruits. The color and texture are reminiscent of the famous Black Pineapple tomato. The flavor is rich, fruity, and exceptionally sweet. This variety stands out for its intense anthocyanin pigmentation and excellent overall performance. Plants grow up to 1.7 m (5.5 ft) tall in open ground. Each truss produces 4–5 fruits weighing 120–150 g. The fruits are slightly flattened, with a red-orange base color covered by decorative dark stripes.
Deep black anthocyanin stripes extend from the shoulders down across the entire fruit. The flesh is red, buttery, and meaty, with medium-sized seed cavities. The texture is tender and melting, while the flavor is intensely sweet with fruity notes and a subtle spicy finish. The fruits are juicy and aromatic. Standard tomato care is recommended: fertile soil, moderate watering, regular feeding, and protection from pests and diseases. Ideal for fresh eating, salads, and gourmet dishes. One of the sweetest varieties in the collection.
