BRANDYWINE GAIL'S STRAIN. Mid-season, tall-growing, high-yielding variety with potato leaves. Yield score: 5 out of 5. Fruits are round, flattened, ribbed, weighing 150–320 grams. Fleshy, juicy, multi-chambered. Rich, explosive flavor with a tangy note. Requires further study. Sweet, rich, with a well-balanced acidity. This variety was first introduced in 2006 at the “Tomato Gardens” Association exhibition, organized by Roland Robin in Gironde. The Brandywine line includes several varieties distinguished by large fruits and excellent flavor. These are classic beefsteak tomatoes, usually intended for salads and fresh consumption.
