BROWN BERRY. An indeterminate, mid-season, high-yielding cherry tomato variety. Developed in Florida, USA. Fruits are round, weighing approximately 10-15 g. The plant reaches up to 1.8 meters in open ground. Skin color is a rich reddish-brown with a slight gloss. Fruits grow in dense, tidy clusters.
The flesh is very juicy and sweet, with a strong fruity aroma and dessert-like flavor. The skin is thick and crack-resistant, which ensures good transportability and storage. Perfect for fresh salads, creative appetizers, gourmet meals, and table decoration.
ORIGIN AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VARIETY
Originally bred in the Netherlands, the variety was first introduced in the USA in 2004 by Totally Tomatoes. It was featured in the Seed Savers annual catalog in 2005 and officially registered in the GNIS database in 2010. Flowering begins after the 9th–12th leaf, with inflorescences forming every three leaves.
The plant can produce fruit for a long time and, in a greenhouse, even year-round. We gave this variety 5 out of 5 for its flavor, beauty, and reliable yield. A real find for gourmets and lovers of high-quality cherry tomatoes.
