CASSADY BLACK, USA. This variety was bred by Tom Wagner, a famous breeder who developed this unique line based on another well-known variety — "Sweet Casady". It is a mid-early variety, noted for its good yield and resistance to adverse conditions.
The plants grow up to about 1.7 m tall, with strong, sturdy stems that support the clusters well. Each cluster forms 6 to 9 fruits shaped like small plum-fingers, weighing from 30 to 50 grams. The fruits are especially decorative due to their unusual color: the main color is brown with olive stripes, which makes them very attractive.
VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS
Inside, the flesh is bright red, very dense, meaty and juicy at the same time. The tomatoes have a pronounced sweet taste with minimal acidity, making them perfect for fresh eating and salads.
In addition, the fruits have a high content of dry matter and low juice content, which makes them an excellent choice for canning, drying or making thick sauces and pastes.
This variety is appreciated for its stable yield, original appearance and excellent taste qualities that can delight even the most demanding gourmets.
