CHELBASSKIY GIANT. A large-fruited variety of sweet pepper that pleases not only with the size of its fruits but also with its high yield and unpretentiousness. This variety is quickly gaining a place among favorites due to its combination of giant fruits and excellent taste. The variety is early-ripening — about 80-90 days pass from germination to technical maturity. The bush is up to 80 cm tall, semi-spreading, vigorous, and withstands the load of heavy fruits well. Suitable for growing both in open ground and in greenhouses.
The fruits are very large, of a beautiful cylindrical shape, approximately 10×20 cm in size. The weight reaches 500 g or more. At technical maturity, the color is ivory; at biological maturity, it is deep red with a bright glossy shine. The taste is very sweet, rich, without bitterness. The flesh is dense, crispy, yet juicy. The peppers are excellent for fresh consumption, stuffing, baking, processing, and freezing.
The walls are extremely thick — 12-13 mm, which makes the fruits especially fleshy, juicy, and dense. The variety is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus and other common pepper diseases, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. This is a vigorous, early, and truly large-fruited variety that combines impressive size, sweet taste, and stable yield, deserving a permanent place in the garden.
