CRUSHED HEART, CRACKED HEART, BROKEN HEART, USA. This is a tall, mid-season variety developed by Brad Gates. By July 14, the plant height ranged from 150 to 162 cm. On July 15, a count on one plant showed 34 set fruits in 10 clusters — a quite satisfactory result. After the harvest began, no further counting of set fruits was done. The fruits are elongated heart-shaped, colored pink with orange spots and anthocyanin, medium firm, without cracks. Inside, they are red, meaty, juicy, and tender. Very attractive and high-yielding variety. The taste is good — classic tomato with sweetness and a slight tang.
Aroma is typical pleasant tomato. A mid-early variety shaped like a refined heart. The shape is stunning: wide near the stem and narrowing to a flattened point ending in a sharp tip. Color — raspberry-red with green, yellow, and orange stripes. Shoulders may develop slight anthocyanin coloring if there’s enough sunlight.
