CUNEO YELLOW. A traditional pepper variety from the Piedmont region, Italy, originating from the city of Cuneo. Known as Carré de Cuneo and Cuneo Giallo. Highly adaptable and undemanding, making it suitable for cultivation in both open fields and protected conditions. Maturity period: early, about 90-100 days depending on growing conditions; from transplanting to technical maturity — 95-100 days. Plants are spreading, strong, medium height — 50-70 cm, with well-developed foliage. Fruits: medium-sized, weighing 130-200 g, under ideal conditions up to 250 g, with thick, fleshy walls.
Shape is square or almost heart-shaped, with 3-4 lobes, 8-9 cm long, slightly pointed at the bottom. Fruits are dark green at technical maturity and turn bright yellow with a glossy finish at biological maturity, gradually shifting to orange. The variety has an attractive marketable appearance, maintains shape well, and is highly transportable. Especially resistant to most common pepper diseases and tolerant of temperature fluctuations and stress conditions. Stable yields and excellent taste qualities make it a versatile choice for both home gardens and commercial production.
